You Know You Are a Mom When...

1) You can take a shower in record time (that is if you find time to take one!) We're talking 5 minutes or less...hoping that you cleaned the important parts.

2) You eat faster than a starving dog. You realize this when you are out in public without your kid and people stare at you because you just swallowed your food down like it was your last meal even though you aren't even with your baby!

3) You consider being dressed up if you made it out of your yoga pants and put a dab of makeup on. Maybe just maybe you even brushed your hair!

4) You still consider a shirt clean even if it has a little bit of spit up or pee on it.

5) You find yourself doing a rocking motion even though you are not holding your baby!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! Hope you get to spend it with your loved ones! :)

  1. When my baby was a baby I would do that rocking motion all the time. Whether or not I was holding her.

  3. It's so funny. I feel like I wrote a post just like this one a couple of months ago. My husband and I, on the ONLY date night we've had since C was born, literally downed our sushi in RECORD time.. Sure, it gave us time for an extra glass of wine, or two and some more time to talk about our cutie patootie.. but really? we ate our food in like.. 7 minutes. It's just "normal" now! Truly, I'm surprised we did't try to eat it standing up AND rocking, too! Happy Friday!

  4. Hit the nail on the head there! The other thing is the big bag all Moms seem to lug around with them :-)

  5. HAHA!! Oh my - hysterical and ALL so true. There have been many mornings I've wiped the puke off my shirt and rolled out the front door without changing -oooppsss! I wonder if we all have a "new mommy" smell and don't even realize it!!

  6. Tim said one night he woke up and saw me rocking even though I didn't have a hand on our travel crib. This was with Addy! Didn't do as much with Stone. You are used to it by your second!

  8. I love this post. I may have to add (and you are not quite there yet, it looks like). When you can feed yourself and 2 other people all at the same time without batting an eye.

Love it! Thanks so much for linking for Feed Me Friday. I'm following back. www.ohsosavvymom.com

  14. I also agree with all of your points. Thanks for stopping by today! I loved your post! I would have to add to it, you know you're a mom when you can fix a boo boo, serve dinner, kiss your husband, and discipline the other child who caused the boo boo in less than a minutes time. I look forward to reading more of your posts.
