Merry Christmas to All!

I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. My husband is off work until the new year, so I'll be taking a little bloggy break to enjoy the season and to spend time with family. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Trees, Trucks, and Onesies!

Here's our tree this year, and I'm so happy with it.  I believe it is my favorite out of all the trees over the years.

And do you think Nolan is going to enjoy Christmas this year???

I have also forgot to mention that my group of mommy friends threw a shower for all the mom's that are expecting their 2nd child or in my case just had one.  It was such a sweet gesture, and we had a onesie making party.  Each mom received three onesies for their little one.  They turned out so cute!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

My Little Man

Wow...it's hard to believe my little baby Conley is four months old. But alas it is true and before I know it you will be a year. It's amazing how time flies after you have little ones.

Still think you are going to be a blondie...thought the eyes were going to be green, but now I believe they are going to be hazel like your brother's and daddy's.  You can hold your head up like a champ and have just started pushing up with your arms.  You've rolled over a few times, so I know the time of you not being mobile won't be much longer!

You've been chewing on your hand like a mad man...and come to find out my 3 1/2 month old was already getting teeth!  Seriously?  Yes.  I felt the ridge that has already cut through the gum.  Just when you get done with a toddler teething, we start the process again.  Maybe it will be quick and over with it?  Somehow I doubt that.

We don't go to your appointment until next week, but I am guessing you are around 15 pounds and 27 inches.  We've moved you into your crib, and overall you've done pretty well.  Around 1 AM you start to stir, and I just re-swaddle you and give you your paci and you go back to sleep.

Minus the teething--you are usually a happy boy and smile a lot.  The teething has definitely made you more sensitive and so this past few weeks have been more challenging with some tears and less naps.

Can't believe we are about to celebrate your first Christmas!  Where does the time go?  I love your little chubby cheeks and can't wait for you to join in our holiday festivities.

Happy Four Months Mr. C Man!

I've Got Questions, You've Got Answers!

If you read my Christmas shopping rant, you will know that I have been online way too much searching for gifts. I have also been reading review after review about products that we are in the market for buying.

It leaves my head spinning.  Can we say search overload? Yep, that's me.

Currently we are looking at buying a tablet.  We've researched about the iPad and several of their competitors...but just can't make a decision.

We want to buy a teeth whitening system, and I've read countless reviews about trays and strips...etc...etc to try to choose just one for us.

I'm in the market for a new phone and *GASP* about to enter the smart phone era.  Yes I know you can't believe it, but I have what they call a "feature" phone.  So we're looking into the iPhone 5, the Droid, Samsung, and all the other cool phones.

So my friends I am calling on all of you to give some input and shed some light on these decisions we are trying to make...because I cannot seriously read another review or search anymore or my head might explode.

I am anxiously awaiting all of your words of wisdom!

Fall Photo Session

Just a few photos from our latest photo session!  Even though Nolan was having an "off" day, our photographer still managed to get some great shots.

The Transition

So I finally bit the bullet and moved little Conley in his crib.  My fears were that I would be getting up a million times and that he would be so loud that he would wake up Nolan since their rooms are right across from each other.

The first night I was pleasantly surprised.  Conley slept straight from 9pm until 4:30am in his crib.  At that time, I fed him and rocked him for a little bit and he went back to sleep.  He then woke up again at around 8:15am.  I thought that was pretty good for his first night!

Last night was a little different but pretty good.  We had went to a Christmas party so I had fed him pretty early, but he was so tired I didn't feed him when we got home knowing he would wake up a little earlier...I didn't mind because I knew he was so tired!  He woke up around 3:45am as I figured he might.  I fed him and then put him back down, and he got up around 7am.

Anytime he wakes up he's not screaming, just kind of whimpering and making noise so I hear him on the monitor.  Thankfully he's not belting out like he can, so let's hope he keeps his loud voice more for daytime so that he doesn't wake up Nolan.

Conley has been a little more grumpy during the day and literally chewing his hand off, so I think we are in the early stages of teething.

Just when you get finished with one child teething, another one starts.  Oh the joys of motherhood!  Always ending one stage and beginning another one.

If you have more than one child, what was your biggest challenge from going from one to two?

The Stress of Christmas

Last night I was up until midnight looking and purchasing Christmas gifts when I probably should have been in bed.  I always find myself searching and searching for hours for the perfect gift....for free shipping...for the best online coupon codes...which can lead to hours and hours of Christmas shopping!

My husband and I both come from families that have always had BIG Christmases.  And even though I know the real reason of Christmas is not gifts...I do really like finding special gifts for people. I really find joy in the gift of giving more than receiving.

However, as a SAHM that can get expensive on just one household income.  So I try to shop for the best deals but also a gift they will really like.

I find it really easy to find gifts for the boys and my husband...but it can get really hard to find items for my parents, his parents, my brother and his wife, his brother and his wife, my aunt, and my grandmother.  I also do like three gifts per person because I feel bad if I do any less because the get me so much.

Do you feel stressed out at Christmas?  Have you found the perfect balance of budget and gift giving?

I think I'm ready for January!

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree..

Say what it's Monday AGAIN?  This weekend flew by!

On Friday, we visited our friends who live about an hour away.  Ethan is only 15 days older than Nolan, so it's so fun to get the boys together. Laura's due soon, so Conley and her little boy will be close in age too! Sorry no photos were taken---we always seem to forget to do that which is sad because we've been getting the boys together since they were babies.  We have to remember next time!

On Saturday, we ventured about 30 minutes from our house to a Christmas Tree Farm.  Thankfully they have some really good trees.  We have been disappointed at some other ones in the past.  This is the third time we've been with Nolan, and the first year was freezing!  This year we could have been in short sleeves because it was 60 degrees!  We didn't mind though because it made it easy to get out with the baby.

Then Sunday we had an appointment to get a Santa photo.  The store, "Smart Books & Toys," allows you to sign up for time slots.  How awesome is that?  No lines, and they even had refreshments...not to mention the store is like toddler crack with all the toys everywhere!

Hope you had a great festive weekend like we did...here's some photos of our Christmas Tree hunt:
