2017 Shenanigans

2016 was a crazy year for my family and for myself in general. I'm really hoping that 2017 slows down a bit, but as we must of us know once you have kids there doesn't seem to be a pause button.

As we head into March 2017, my little guy turns 8 months old, and my older boys just finished basketball. This was our first experience with basketball, and the league kind of does more football/basketball since most of the kids are still learning the concept of dribbling. It was super fun to watch, and Nolan ended up scoring a ton of goals because well he's a GIANT for his age.

Foster is still a little cuddly bear, and I believe is totally ok to keep his baby status. He's no in hurry to be a big boy, and we're totally cool with that. He's a very sweet natured baby with a huge smile. He now has two teeth that he got around 6 months. I think his top two are trying to make an appearance as he fiercely chews on anything. He loves watching his big brothers especially Nolan.

The jury is still out on who he looks like...mostly I think he looks like Nolan when he was a baby, but he certainly has some Conley like features.

Nolan lost his third baby tooth, and almost a fourth one and soon a fifth. That child will look like a jack-o-lantern soon!

In March, we don't have too many plans besides moving into our new house. We started building last year, and man has it been a process.  The boys have spring break, but I don't think we are going anywhere due to the whole we need to be moving soon situation.

KMB and CMB have been keeping me busy! The first quarter is always the busiest time of year for the sites, so another reason I haven't been around. Hoping to post more soon, and more fun updates about Foster!

This Little Guy

My little baby boy is now 5 months old! Where does the time go?

This little cutie likes to roll over, and he's really into chewing on his hands. He's got the kickiest legs you've ever seen, and the sweetest smile and laugh. Out of my three boys, I believe he's the smiliest, the happiest, and the first to roll over. It's always fun to see how they differ or how they are the same. They are all their own little people, and it's fun  to watch them develop their personalities.

We are loving our blue-eyed little boy! He's such a joy and the perfect addition to our family!

A Superhero Birthday!

Wow I realize I haven't posted since announcing Foster's birth but as you can imagine it's been crazy around here. We've been adjusting to becoming a family of 5 and also having Nolan start Kindergarten. Life is changing, and we're trying to settle in a new routine.

At the beginning of August, we celebrated Conley's 4th birthday party. The theme was a Superhero theme, and it was lots of fun at our local splash pad!

And this guy turned one month old at the end of July!

Another Beach Trip in the Books!

We took our last beach trip as a family of four back in May at our favorite place Kiawah Island, SC!

The boys always have a great time, and this year Nolan was quite the swimmer. Not only do we visit the beach, but they have an amazing splash pad and several pools to enjoy. We pretty much were at the beach or the pool all day!

The Final Countdown

It's hard to believe we are on our final countdown to meet our newest family member. At times this pregnancy has flown by, and other times it has seemed like it has taken FOREVER. Overall it's been a pretty easy pregnancy minus the snotty nose and allergies. I will be super excited to be able to breathe again! Praying that after I birth this sweet boy that I'll be back to normal soon.

Today I wanted to share his name, and his new nursery!

Baby boy#3 is going to be named Foster! We really are loving the name, and it took forever to finally decide on one especially when you've named 3 boys.

The Winds of Change

It's really hard to believe my oldest will be starting Kindergarten this fall. He is SO EXCITED about going, and after Legos it's one of the topics he mentions the most.

I have no fear that he won't excel...minus getting up early every morning. This boy needs his 12 hours of sleep!

I'm sad to see this time come as I'll miss our Mondays and Fridays. The boys attend a Mother's Day Out/Preschool program, and it's Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It just works perfect. Mondays are our days to regroup---and take swim lessons. Friday is Fun Day most of the time, and we find some fun activity to do.

2016 is such a big year for us with adding a new addition in less than 8 weeks. I'm anxious, scared, and excited all at the same time. When I had Conley, Nolan was practically still a baby at only 21 1/2 months old. Now I'll have an almost 6 and 4 year old. Talk about a game changer! I'm hoping to enjoy this process more as the boys are older and are more independent. Before that time period was a huge blur and just about survival.

Before the third baby boy makes his arrival, we'll head to the beach as our last time as a family of four. It's bittersweet, but I know the boys will be great big brothers!

We almost have the nursery fully completed with one more wall to go!

A Snapshot of Life Lately

Wow I just skipped over April now didn't I? This year is flying by and before you know it there will be a new baby in my house!

Not much longer now---less than 10 weeks! Nursey will be soon revealed, one wall to go!

Happy New Year friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday with family and loved ones!

We had Christmas here at my in-laws and our house, and then traveled to my parents house.

It's all kind of a blur, and here we are in 2016!

It was unusually warm as it was in most of the country with almost being 75 degrees on Christmas Day.

I'm not complaining as I really despise being cold, and now today it was less than 20 degrees, so it appears we are trying to catch up.

We have many new Lego sets in our house:

And enjoying the warm weather at a newer park in town!

 

 

I finished some good books and highly recommend The Silent Sister.

 



 

We are going to LEGOLAND this weekend and meeting my baby niece! I'm so excited to be an aunt!
