Not many moments are my boys silent...
Not many moments will they sit next to each other...
Most times they push and pull on each other...
Most times someone ends up in tears...
But today my boys silently watched the rain fall.
It was a beautiful moment, even if it was fleeting.

ReplyDeleteMy kids were having a beautiful moment today. It is sunny and warm but the sun sets earlier behind our trees than the rest of the town and the house gets darker, because we kinda live in the middle of the woods (in a city). I saw them both standing together at the coffee table playing with a dollhouse. She wasn't bossing him around, and he wasn't trying to take the whole dollhouse off the table with a loud bang. (He did that yesterday)

ReplyDeleteSo sweet and what a wonderful memory you captured. I have three boys and then a girl. I miss those little days where once in a while they'd sit together and be sweet. They're more fleeting now that they are all bigger kids. Enjoy!
