Easter Eggstravaganza!

Is it me or does Easter start to feel like a mini-Christmas? Of course I understand the real meaning Easter and make sure the boys do too....but with the baskets from the Easter Bunny and both grandparents...well it starts to get a little out of hand.  These boys definitely aren't missing out!

The tee ball set, safety scissors, and Spencer the train are from the Easter Bunny to Nolan.  The train track set and Mickey Mouse are from my parents.  The Easter Bunny did not forget Conley, and he received the roll inch worm and the Bright Starts activity ball.  My parents gave him the little pop up animal toy.

I decided to split up the gifts, so that Nolan could actually focus on one item at a time without getting overwhelmed.  On Friday, he opened the train tracks and Mickey.  Of course he fell in love with both!

On Thursday, we had a Easter Egg Hunt with the mom's group.  It was so fun to see all the kiddos out there, and Nolan really racked up!

And the week before, Nolan had his Easter Egg Hunt at school.  Here's the goodies I packed for the little ones!

I have a few more photos that I'll post tomorrow.

How was your Easter?

  4. He looks so cute playing with his train tracks! We decided to scale back a bit this year and I am glad we did. With Jaxson's birthday coming up we needed to take it down a notch. And believe me, it was hard. I always like an excuse to spoil my kiddos. :)

  6. I agree it does start to feel like a mini Christmas! We actually did pretty good this year and got Sammy some things he needed and a few fun things. He is sick (just a cold) so he didn't eat any candy but he looks forward to feeling better so he can dig into his peeps :-)

  11. The bunny did a great job -- and yes -- sometimes I feel like Easter has major potential to get out of hand but thankfully this year we managed to keep it under control.

And.. psst... we didn't even dye eggs! Evie's birthday party was Saturday, and then Sunday we had Bunny, church, one of our best friend's baby's baptisms and then easter supper. No time.

  14. Wow, those boys cleaned up!! I really didn't get D much this year. She doesn't know the difference yet anyways! But we did take her to 2 different egg hunts.

  15. it does get a little much once the grandparents start adding to the baskets.
I had to "set some aside" for later too.
it may be in my bedside drawer ;)

  16. Your Easter bunny was a lot nicer than mine :) I scaled back a little this year - my girls are old enough they just want a pile of candy and my boy's too little to really have high standards! Looks like lots of fun at your house - I love the little baskets for school too.

  17. Ours was out of control with goodies! I made modest baskets, but then grandparents blew them out of the water, yeesh...

    Found you on #SITSSharefest :)

  18. I totally agree Easter is turning into a mini Christmas! It's crazy! I used to blame the size of my kids baskets and not wanting them to look empty! But I'm pretty sure it's just me going overboard!
