Now that we are in the heat of summer, I am like many and grabbing at straws on how to keep my little ones entertained.
Oh and summer TV in general??? AWFUL! My husband and I are constantly going through the channels trying to find something to watch.
Ta-da! The answer to our problems...Netflix!
Did you know that Netflix.com/Families page is available for members and non-members? This page features several new categories including Family Movie Night, Are We There Yet, and TV for Curious Kids.
And with the kids being out of school for summer...well that means most families double their budget on entertainment during this time period. Have you seen the cost of a movie ticket these days? YOWZA! Netflix delivers big entertainment without breaking the bank for only $7.99/month.
As Nolan and I browsed the selection, he immediately was drawn to Cars and The Tigger Movie. I was also very impressed with all the different wildlife/animal selections. Nolan is one of those kids that if he watches a show he really takes it in and will repeat parts over and over. It's always great when we can combine entertainment with learning.
The Netflix.com/Families page is easy to navigate and also provides a summary of the movie as well as a member rating.
Because when the heat rises...so does the inside play time. So to avoid this face that says, "Mom it's too hot can we go inside?"
We will be spending those 90 degree + days enjoying some great entertainment from Netflix.
Netflix is also a great companion for on the go...waiting for appointments...long trips in the car. Netflix makes it easy for you as a parent to be informed when making a selection for your child. And for me, I want all the tools and resources when allowing my child to watch certain programs.
Netflix.com/Families is a new destination designed to meet your family's summertime entertainment needs. On Netflix.com/Families, parents can find lists of movies and TV shows for all kinds of special summer moments.
Visit www.Netflix.com/Families for more information on the best way to stream as well as videos from families using Netflix.

Because keeping a smile on this boy's face during the summer months...isn't always easy.
But definitely worth it!

Hi, there!
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from SITS! Nice to meet you! We never had much luck with Netflix. Whenever we tried to stream movies, they would stop mid-stream.
Enjoy your day! Oh, and if you'd like, feel free to stop by as I'm having a giveaway for a FREE Easy Canvas.:)
It's 100 degrees here today! We could use this!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to stop by and say I LOVE your blog layout. It's so cute and home-y. Found you through SITS forum! : )
ReplyDeleteWe actually just got rid of our cable because it was so overpriced and we didn't use it enough. Netflix saves the day!
ReplyDeleteMy kids use Netflix all the time!!
ReplyDeleteWe dont have netflix but my parents do and its totally saved the night a few times when dining out and addie doesnt want to sit still (my dad just pops a movie on his phone and addie is entertained)!!

ReplyDeleteMy girls LOVE Netflix! :) We use it EVERY.SINGLE.DAY!!-Ashley
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!! We have been enjoying the inside now that our AC is fixed! :-) Movie nights are always a hit around here!
ReplyDeleteNetflix is a great solution for our home! We rarely have money for babysitter and movie date night. And since we do pizza/movie night every Friday - movie rentals can get very expensive.
ReplyDeleteBut we can all always find something to watch on Netflix. My kids basically love All The Shows.
Me - hello The Walking Dead!!! (but get Season 3 on stat please!)
Canada's viewing is somewhat different than USA, but still worth every cent.
We have found some AWESOME helicopter and plane videos thanks to netflix!
